Charities
Since the festival began we have donated over £100,000 to a number of organisations including
  • Naomi House - a local hospice providing expert care to more than 325 life-limited and life-threatened children, young people and their extended families.
  • North Hampshire Medical Fund - an independent charity raising funds to ensure that everyone who uses our local hospital will be treated and cared for using the most up to date methods and technology. Nominated by our long term supporters The Champion Group, our support in 2017 enabled the fund to buy a new piece of equipment which helps with post-operative reconstruction.
  • Friends of Newbury Hospital – a charity with the aim of helping and benefitting patients and medical staff at the West Berkshire Community Hospital. It seeks to fund the purchase of medical equipment for use within the West Berkshire Community Hospital and by Community Nursing which would not otherwise be available.
  • Newbury & Thatcham Hockey Club - in recognition of the club membership’s contribution in providing over 200 volunteers to the organise, set up, run, staff and dismantle the event.
In 2018 we will again be recognising the contribution of Newbury and Thatcham Hockey Club as well as supporting:
  • Sport In Mind - an independent Berkshire mental health sports charity founded in 2011, whose aim is to use sport and physical activity to help aid the recovery of people experiencing a wide range of mental health problems by promoting mental wellbeing, improving physical health
